Mount Edward Pinot Noir 2010

The 2010 pinot noir is carefully blended from 3 vineyards in the Lowburn and Bannockburn sub regions. Our estate vineyards of Morrison and Muirkirk, plus our grower vineyard Pisa Terrace. All are farmed using certified BioGro organic practices. Vinified in a traditional fashion using open fermenters, hand plunging, natural yeasts and 12 months in French oak.

A heady and complex wine with drive and poise. Perfumed with strong aromatics, there is a range of complexed fruit notes of mainly darker berryfruits, some spice and dried herbs, as well as savoury tones. The 2010 has a silky and luscious texture with soft fine tannins and plenty of length.

No filtration or fining, deposits may form.

Bottled June 11, released April 2012. 852 cases made.
