WE ARE MOUNT EDWARD
Mount Edward is a family-owned organic winery in Central Otago, with wines that range from classic regional styles to some of the more avant-garde expressions of Fine Wine in Central Otago.
To explore these urrent releases, older vintages, and distinctive small-production wines, in an intimate yet relaxed setting, we have a cellar door in our winery in Gibbston that offers bespoke tastings across our full range of wines, we expand this experience by offering regionally inspired food in a small plate/tapas style from our small yet mighty kitchen.
Founded in Central Otago in 1997, we began as a small family winery making one wine. Today, we remain family-owned, farming five certified organic estate vineyards and crafting wines with character, provenance and pleasure.
We make delicious, textural, subtle, moreish wines, from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay, Chenin and more. Curious and innovative by nature, we pioneered vermouth in New Zealand, wine on tap and embraced minimal-intervention winemaking, always seeking authenticity over convention.
